WWE Star Je’Von Evans Explains He Purposely Overshoots Dives To Increase Realism In His Matches, ‘If I Hit Something 100% Clean, Now It Looks Like We’re Dancing’ WWE

WWE star Je’Von Evans has explained that he sometimes purposely overshoots on his dives to increase the realism in his matches.

Evans, largely known for his incredible feats of athleticism, has also shown that he’s wise beyond his years when it comes to pro-wrestling.

The 21 year old WWE Raw talent spoke on the latest No-Contest Wrestling show and explained his mindset about overshooting on dives, saying:

“Sometimes, honestly, my mindset – maybe this sounds crazy and maybe I’m just saying this because I’m young right now – but sometimes I try to overshoot.

“Only because from a fan perspective, if I hit something 100% clean, now it looks like we’re dancing. I don’t want wrestling to look like that.

“So it’s kinda like, if you get me mad, or I’m too excited and I jump in the air… if I’m in a real fight and I’m feeling myself too much, I’m swinging something crazy, I’m not gonna hit that right hand every time.

“So sometimes when I do a dive, if I’m too serious, I’m too locked in, I overshoot but I still get them and I almost hurt myself – at the end of the day I know I’m gonna be okay.

“I’m gonna be sore but I know I’m gonna be okay. I’ve wrestled for eight years, I know how to land. I’m okay.”

Je’Von Evans To Become Champion At WrestleMania?

Je’Von Evans makes his WWE WrestleMania debut next weekend in the Intercontinental Championship ladder match with Dragon Lee, Rusev, Rey Mysterio, JD McDonagh and defending champion Penta.

Along with Penta, Evans has to be considered one of the favorites to win the match after his impressive rise up the ranks in WWE thus far.

It would not be at all surprising to see Evans rewarded with his first title win on the main roster – and actually his first in WWE altogether as he never won one in NXT.

And with his impressive physical performances matched up with the mindset and intelligence on display in his quote about dives, it’s clear to see that he’s on the right path to success.
