WWE Star Calls WrestleMania 41 Opponent The ‘Best In-Ring Performer’

WWE Star Calls WrestleMania 41 Opponent The ‘Best In-Ring Performer’ WWE

WrestleMania 41 takes place on April 19 & 20, 2025, and Jey Uso has reflected on his opponent for the upcoming WWE PLE.

Having won the men’s Royal Rumble match on February 1, 2025, Uso faces WWE World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER at the two-night event.

During a recent interview with CBS Sports, Jey Uso reflected on facing a man he calls “the best in-ring performer”, saying:

“I think he’s the best in-ring performer. There is something about him. He carries that energy.

“He’s intimidating, strong, big and heavy. But I need to get through this mountain so I can prove it to myself and to the world. I’m trying to be world heavyweight champ.”

GUNTHER, by contrast, was less complimentary in comments he made about Jey Uso where he revealed he was “not interested” in facing him at WrestleMania 41.

Uso would also share his vision for a unique moment at the Allegiant Stadium WWE PLE, stating:

“I’m about to have 100,000 people out there Yeeting in one motion. No one is doing that. We’re going to have fun.”

When it comes to the popularity of “yeet”, Uso has previously revealed that he didn’t expect the catchphrase to catch on.

He would concede that part of the popularity of the phrase comes from the moment Cody Rhodes employed it in the WWE Fastlane 2023 post-show press conference.

In the interview with CBS Sports, Uso would also reveal the pressure he’s feeling when it comes to WrestleMania 41.

He would state that he wants to silence his doubters following the reception to his WrestleMania 40 match against Jimmy Uso.
