A former WWE Champion has revealed that they recently underwent surgery and will now enter a period of rehabilitation.
Last competing on October 17 at Dungeon Wrestling Wrestleween 3, the star formerly known to WWE fans as Jinder Mahal shared news of his surgery on social media.
On his official Instagram account, Raj Dhesi shared a short video in a post with a caption that reads:
“2 loose bodies removed + meniscus trimmed.
“Surgery went well, now comes the recovery.”
Speaking the camera, Dhesi went into more detail on the operation he underwent, saying:
“Went and got a knee scope. Come with me. Day one, rehab.”
The video showed Dhesi undergoing an assessment of the range of motion for the affected leg.
We would also see Dhesi moving his leg and bending his knee, stretching and seemingly testing his own mobility.
The former Jinder Mahal was released from his WWE contract back in April of last year and has gone on to perform on the independent wrestling scene.
He has recently commented on the possibility of working with AEW “if the business makes sense“.
A former WWE Champion, Mahal also held the United States Championship and was a two-time 24/7 Champion during his two tenures in the company.
WrestleTalk wishes Dhesi well in his recovery from surgery and rehabilitation.
