Former John Cena Rival Shares Honest Thoughts Intercontinental Championship Win WWE

A Hall of Famer has revealed the challenge that WWE faces after the retirement of John Cena later this year.

With John Cena’s final match set to take place on December 13, a contender will be chosen through the ‘Last Time Is Now‘ Tournament.

The new WWE Intercontinental Champion, John Cena’s last match will take place at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Marking the last time Cena will compete in a WWE ring, Mark Henry has recently addressed the challenge that the company faces going forward.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Henry reflected on the match between John Cena and the now-former WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio, saying:

“The crowd got what they wanted in multiple ways. John Cena got a win at home in his last time at home. We got to see Dominik Mysterio vs. John Cena on the way out. Everybody wanted to see it. You got it.

“We got to see John Cena do what the f**k he said he was gonna do. He was gonna elevate people on the way out. I look at Dominik way better now.”

With Jonathan Coachman noting Cena’s legacy of chasing dreams, Henry would go on to reveal a challenge that WWE now faces, saying:

“You see the videos of him when he was seven years old, eight years old with the homemade WWE titles. He was meant to be him.  He was born to be who he became.

“John Cena is gonna be missed, man. I don’t know if there’s one person that’s gonna be able to fill the shoes of him being gone.”
