WWE Hall Of Famer Criticizes Decision Surrounding John Cena’s Final Match WWE

A WWE Hall of Famer has highlighted a key issue with John Cena’s final match, which takes place on December 13.

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event will feature the last time that John Cena will step into the ring, facing off against GUNTHER.

With the show featuring matches between main roster and NXT stars, it has been reported that CM Punk and Joe Hendry may also be in attendance.

WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray/Bubba Ray Dudley commented on the upcoming John Cena retirement segment on Busted Open Radio, following reports that John Cena vs GUNTHER is slated to open the show, rather than close it.

Questioning how any match could follow the 17-time world champion’s final moments in a WWE ring, Bully Ray said:

“When Cena is standing in the middle of the ring, the chants, the “thank you Cena” chants could go on forever.

“Think of how a European crowd, a French crowd, will chant for ten minutes, and you want to start the match, but you can’t start the match because there’s 20,000 people chanting. And, you could even lock up, and they won’t stop chanting.

“Now, the body of the match – the fall finishes, the “will he tap?”, “does he tap?” blah, blah, blah – ding, ding, ding, we hear the final bell on John Cena’s final match.

“You might have that final moment with John Cena and the fans. You might have the entire locker room pour out and give that man a standing ovation. I’m getting goosebumps right.

“I’m gonna fast forward. You’re going to get so much emotion to end that segment. Every last drop or happy, sad, you’re gonna get out of this until John finally takes the final walk up that ramp and goes back through the curtain.

“After, let’s just call it, I don’t know, a half an hour, forty-five minutes of that, you are completely exhausted. You need to sit down because you don’t have gas left in the tank.

“How in the hell does anybody follow that?”
