John Cena WWE Intercontinental Championship Match Teased? WWE

A WWE star has teased the possibility that they could challenge John Cena for his recently won Intercontinental Championship.

For the first time in his career, John Cena became WWE Intercontinental Champion with a victory over Dominik Mysterio on the November 10 episode of Raw.

With only three dates left of the John Cena retirement tour, a former Intercontinental Champion has teased the possibility they could step up to face the champion.

The Miz shared a very simple message, powered by a thinking emoji, on Twitter, accompanied by an image of him holding the title.

The image – which you can view below – was from The Miz’ famous 2016 Talking Smack promo, where he got into a heated exchange with Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson) and spoke about how people weren’t taking him seriously.

A former eight-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, The Miz last faced Cena in televised singles action back in February 2018 in a losing effort.

At WrestleMania 27 in 2011, The Miz scored a victory over Cena to retain the WWE Championship in a No Disqualification match.

That WWE Premium Live event match marks one of the few times that The Miz has been victorious over Cena in their many singles matches, mostly on the untelevised house show tours.

In April 2024, Cena teamed with The Miz and R-Truth to defeat The Judgment Day (Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor & JD McDonagh).

With Cena’s final match taking place at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13, ‘The Last Time Is Now’ Tournament is currently underway to determine his opponent.
