New WWE Signing Shares John Cena Tribute

New WWE Signing Shares John Cena Tribute WWE

A new WWE signing has shared their tribute to John Cena, recreating an iconic image of the soon-to-be-retired star.

With John Cena’s final match taking place on December 13, he will face GUNTHER at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

While Cena may be calling time on his in-ring career, having undergone a retirement tour throughout 2025, a recent WWE signing has shared a message about his own future.

In October, it was confirmed that Nathan Angel had signed a WWE contract and was one of the latest round of recruits at the Performance Center.

Angel has since made his WWE debut, and has gone on to comment on his arrival with a nod to Cena’s upcoming departure, tweeting:

“As the Goat leaves the Ram arrives! 🐐🐏”

The post would be accompanied by a recreation of a 2013 photo of Cena holding a baby goat, albeit with a toy variation.

The original photo was shared by Cena on social media, noting his own “GOAT phase”.

Cena has recently revealed plans for a post-retirement appearance following Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Angel was trained by Joel Redman, himself familiar to WWE NXT fans as the former Oliver Grey.
