Another WWE Main Roster Star Gets Involved At NXT Stand & Deliver WWE

There was yet another WWE main roster star who got involved in a match at NXT Stand & Deliver today, although this wasn’t much of a surprise.

Johnny Gargano’s real-life wife and fellow Raw star Candice LeRae had a part to play in the unsanctioned match between Gargano and Grayson Waller.

This match has been in the making since way back in December 2021 when Waller attacked Gargano during Gargano’s farewell speech when his previous WWE contract had come to an end and he was leaving the company.

Gargano of course returned to WWE in August 2022 but that was on the main roster, but he showed up in NXT last month to set up the match with Waller.

Over the past few weeks, the feud has involved Gargano and LeRae’s baby Quill, including Waller attacking Gargano at his own home in front of both LeRae and Quill.

During the match tonight, LeRae and Quill were in the crowd and were taunted by Waller who continued his antics.

At one point, LeRae handed the baby to someone else who was with her, and proceeded to jump the barricade and attack Waller herself.

The match did go on for quite some time afterwards with LeRae absent again, but it was Gargano who picked up the win, making Waller tap to the Garga-No-Escape. LeRae then got into the ring to celebrate with Gargano.

Earlier on the show, Dexter Lumis, Gargano’s current tag team partner on Raw, appeared and helped his storyline wife Indi Hartwell, LeRae’s former tag team partner, to win the NXT Women’s Championship ladder match.

After the conclusion of Gargano vs Waller, Hartwell and Lumis came onto the stage and all four of them celebrated together.

Along with Austin Theory (who wasn’t there, and is opening WrestleMania 39 tonight in a match against John Cena), they made up the group known as ‘The Way’ in NXT during the pandemic.
