WWE Star Cleared To Return From Injury

WWE Star Cleared To Return From Injury WWE

A WWE Raw star has been officially cleared to return from  injury after being out of action for over a month.

Last week’s May 8 episode of Raw played host to a backstage segment with Dexter Lumis, Indi Hartwell, Candice LeRae and Johnny Gargano, marking the reunion of the former NXT faction known as The Way (minus Austin Theory).

This was Gargano’s first TV appearance for a few weeks as he’d been out with a shoulder issue.

He’d reportedly been working through the issue at NXT Stand & Deliver at the start of April, effectively working with one shoulder in his no DQ match against Grayson Waller.

Well, Gargano’s now been cleared to return to the ring, as he had a match at the Saturday, May 13 WWE house show in Augusta, Georgia.

Gargano had a match against Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship, which obviously Gunther won.

On tonight’s May 15 episode of Raw, there’ll be a battle royal to determine Gunther’s next challenger on TV, so it’s possible the Gunther vs Gargano house show match was done with the idea of getting them to work together because of Gargano being planned to win the battle royal.

That’s just speculation, but it’s certainly something that’s happened in the past.

Here are results from the Friday, May 12 episode of WWE SmackDown:

AJ Styles def. Edge, Rey Mysterio in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament
