A former WWE star has revealed that he recently celebrated 500 days of sobriety, ahead of his return to the ring.
Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows were both released in February 2025, with both discussing the moment they knew they had to “get out” of the WWE.
During a recent episode of Talk N Shop, Anderson sent out a toast to listeners, but revealed that he wouldn’t be sharing a beer.
The former WWE Raw Tag Team Champion celebrated that he was around 500 days sober, saying:
“The Machine Gun is like 500-something days stone-cold sober.
“I feel great. Next level, not drinking beer. I feel great. My health is through the roof.”
Anderson would then reflect on being “hungover half the time” during his pre-sober life, before addressing how he currently feels, stating:
“I was one of the best wrestlers around anyway, I just never got credit for it.
“I was one of the best wrestlers ever and I was hungover half the time.
“Now that I’m not ever hungover, I feel like I’m 22 again. That’s a f**king shoot, hoot.”
At the time of his release, Anderson was recovering from an injury sustained in 2024, having undergone surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff and partially torn labrum.
Anderson and Gallows are set to return to the ring at Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling on May 10.
