Impact Wrestling Star Names Next WWE Crossover Breakout

An Impact Wrestling star and creative consultant has named the WWE star they believe will be the next breakout.

Konnan is currently signed to Impact Wrestling and MLW as well as working in a variety of roles, including creative consultant, for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide.

In the recent episode of K100 with Konnan & Disco, LAX manager spoke about the WWE star he can see following in the footsteps of The Rock, John Cena and Batista as a star who breaks out into other forms of popular entertainment.

Konnan was speaking specifically about Karrion Kross, saying:

“[Karrion Kross has] obviously got a good mind for the business.

“When I met him, he had a very high wrestling IQ for somebody that had been in the business for that little time.

“I knew he was going to be a star and he is going to be a star and I think he will go to Hollywood one day, much like Batista and Cena, you know, and The Rock did.”

Kross returned to WWE in August 2022 having been released in November 2021.

Whilst he was away from the company, he worked on the independent scene, including New Japan Pro Wrestling and MLW.

He would also dip his toe into acting featuring in The Iron Sheik Massacre, a film produced by John Morrison and Taya Valkyrie. The trailer for this independent horror film can be seen under this news story.
