WWE/AEW
A former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion is interested in an opportunity over in AEW, believing she’d be a good fit for the company’s roster.
Kayden Carter was one of a number of stars to depart WWE in May 2025, with her former tag team partner, Katana Chance, also being released.
Now known as Lacey Lane, she addressed the possibility of heading to AEW in a recent episode of Busted Open Radio.
Noting that she could envision herself in an AEW ring, The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion said:
“Okay, so I know people will probably look down at me for saying this but I could give a s**t because whatever, I wanna work.
“I think AEW is my speed, because, you know, those girls can f**king go. I love the way that they work. They don’t bring the bulls**t. They bring the fists and you know me, I’m a girl that’s down to fight. I love that.
“So I can see myself there definitely, and just because like I said, I’ve worked with a lot of people from Mexico there, like a lot of people who mentored me. My mentor’s there. A lot of people who would bring great support system to me I feel like, versus where I feel like I didn’t have much.
“It was like me and Kacy (Catanzaro) fighting the world over there, and again, the girls are great over there but it’s not the same that I’ve connected with people who are over in that business…”
Lane would go on to explore TNA Wrestling as an option for her future in the ring, with that company currently sharing a business relationship with WWE, stating:
“Even TNA, I would go there because some of the girls there, I know that bust their ass and they’re trying to put the division on notice as well and I’m for it. I just wanna be a part of a legacy.”
As Kayden Carter, Lane was last seen in the ring on the April 11 episode of WWE SmackDown, competing in a WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Number One Contendership Gauntlet, which would be won by Bayley and Lyra Valkyria ahead of WrestleMania 41.
Along with being a former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, Carter also held the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship with Chance.
