Former WWE backstage interviewer Kayla Braxton has addressed her future in the wrestling business after her departure in June 2024.
Braxton was a familiar face on WWE television, also serving as co-host of The Bump and the host of Talking Smack, later SmackDown LowDown, with Paul Heyman.
Heyman would be among the stars to feature in a backstage skit for Braxton’s last day with Bayley having the final word.
In a recent appearance on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Braxton addressed whether her time was at an end in wrestling, saying:
“Yeah, I think so… I mean, there’s always the possibility that maybe I pop back in for a fun cameo or something down the road. But yeah, I think my time is done.”
She would also reveal that leaving WWE was something she had considered ‘for a while’ ahead of her departure, stating:
“I think it’s something I’ve been kind of contemplating for a while. I think once I stepped down from The Bump, I moved to Los Angeles, it was very clear I was kind of trying to find what my next phase of life was going to be, career-wise.”
Braxton revealed that WWE had been supportive of her decision to leave, with it being an ‘amicable’ parting with the door for a return being ‘always open’.
She has previously revealed that she turned down a commentary role in WWE on a number of occasions.
Braxton, real name Kayla Becker, has recently wrapped filming on her first movie role in the movie Stranglehold.
