# WWE Star Eyes Up Top Free Agent Match

WWE’s Cedric Alexander has dropped a hint that he wants to take on NJPW star and soon-to-be-free-agent Kazuchika Okada.

It was [recently reported](https://wrestletalk.com/news/major-star-free-agent-january-2024-kazuchika-okada/) that Okada is set to become a free agent in January 2024 with WWE interested in signing him.

Alexander isn’t the only one with his eyes on Okada, with Bronson Reed having [recently shared a photo](https://wrestletalk.com/news/wwe-star-bronson-reed-teases-kazuchika-okada-to-wwe/) of the pair together in NJPW.

As for Alexander, he shared a montage of moments from their ROH/NJPW Global Wars 2015 match.

The montage from the match which Okada won can be seen below this news story.

Okada is a former two-time IWGP World Heavyweight Champion and five-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion.

He is the current NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Champion alongside Hiroshi Tanahashi and Tomohiro Ishii.

As well as WWE, AEW is of course expected to be heavily interested in signing him as well.
