WWE keen on main roster stars wrestling on NXT

WWE officials are reportedly keen on main roster superstars wrestling more matches on NXT. This news comes less than two weeks after one half of the Bludgeon Brothers, Harper, wrestled at an NXT live show.

Harper took on Ricochet for the North American Championship, and also wrestled the following week for the developmental brand. Other superstars such as Tyler Breeze have also made returns to the brand they once called home.

These appearances are allegedly due to officials wanting stars without current storylines to keep making appearances, so that they aren’t being paid to sit on the sideline.

On the other side of the spectrum, 205 Live and NXT stars could soon be making more main roster appearances, something we are already seeing with both Drake Maverick and Lio Rush becoming managers on Raw.

These changes are for similar reasons to the main roster starts making appearances: money.

WWE don’t want people being paid for dates they aren’t doing. Vince’s stars still have to travel to wherever the company is, so it seems to be a case of getting the most for their money. I’m sure the wrestlers themselves are more than happy to oblige, given that most will do anything to get in that ring in front of a crowd.
