A WWE legend and former Women’s Champion has praised a current star following a match which took place on this week’s episode of NXT.
The February 17 episode of WWE NXT saw Kelani Jordan secure a victory over Lola Vice, with the win coming thanks to a knee drop on an injured hand.
In a post shared on Twitter, former WWF Women’s Champion Leilani Kai shared her praise of Jordan following the match, tweeting:
“I believe in @kelani_wwe.
“It has nothing to do with our similar names. This girl is a star.
“I really enjoyed her match just now on @WWENXT”
The first-ever NXT Women’s North American Champion, Jordan has also held the TNA Knockouts World Championship.
She would also feature in this year’s women’s Royal Rumble match, entering at number 27 in the January 31 WWE Premium Live Event.
Leilani Kai previously revealed how her new WWE legends contract came about thanks to an assistant of Triple H who also serves as a WWE archivist.
Along with being a former WWF Women’s Champion, Kai is a two-time WWF Women’s Tag Team Champion with Judy Martin.
She has previously praised IYO SKY, calling the main roster WWE star the ‘greatest women’s wrestler‘ right now.
