Former WWE Star Seemingly Signs Deal With The Company WWE

WWE released new merchandise for former WWF Intercontinental Champion Ken Shamrock who may have signed a new deal.

Shamrock made his WWE debut in February 1997  going on to be billed as “The World’s Most Dangerous Man”.

During his run in, he would hold the WWF Intercontinental Championship and become WWF Tag Team Championship with Big Boss Man.

He would also be crowned the King of the Ring at the 1998 tournament of the same name.

In 1999, he would leave WWE to return to mixed martial arts where he would go on to become a UFC Hall of Famer.

New Ken Shamrock merchandise has been spotted on WWE Shop, with PWInsider going on to suggest that Shamrock and WWE may have “come to terms on some sort of deal.”

The report goes onto suggest that this could be a Legends contract for the former star.

Although Shamrock did return to wrestling in 2002, including working for TNA and NJPW, he hasn’t made a return to WWE.

With WrestleMania 40 approaching, the new merch and possibility of a Legends deal has already led to some fans preciting Shamrock as a WWE Hall of Fame inductee, but that’s not confirmed.

As PWInsider notes, Shamrock has previously “openly wondered in interviews in the past why WWE never approached him for a return or the WWE Hall of Fame.”

Footage from the Royal Rumble 1998 Intercontinental Match between The Rock and Shamrock can be seen below.
