A WWE champion has addressed having to recently vacate a title following her recent match and ahead of an imminent change of brand.

Kendal Grey defended the WWE Evolve Women’s Championship on the Thursday’s (March 12) episode of the Tubi show.

With that match ending in a victory over Tyra Mae Steele, Grey would then announce that she was vacating the championship ahead of moving to NXT full-time.

Ahead of the recent match, Grey had taken to Twitter to make a promise to the WWE Evolve viewers, tweeting:

“One last match on Evolve tonight… And you best believe I’m walking out the same way I have in every match since October… as champion.”

Following the bout and relinquishing her gold, Grey would comment on her time in WWE Evolve, having been a fixture on the brand since the first show back in February of last year, tweeting:

“Thank you, Evolve.”

The message would be accompanied by the highlight reel of Grey’s time in Evolve, with her next stop being a move to NXT.
