On tonight’s WWE SmackDown there was an update on Kevin Owens after having been recently banned from making appearances.
Tonight’s November 15 WWE SmackDown kicked off with an in-ring segment with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes who called out Kevin Owens but instead was met by General Manager Nick Aldis.
Rhodes was seeking retribution on Owens after he used the piledriver on Orton last week and sent him away in an ambulance.
Aldis told Cody that until the situation with Kevin Owens could be handled “internally”, Owens won’t be allowed at SmackDown.
With Aldis reiterating the severity of KO having used the piledriver on Orton, he noted that it was important to send a message to the rest of the locker room.
Saying the phrases, “if you give them an inch, they take a mile” and cautioning against the potential of “the inmates running the asylum,” Aldis would not budge in his decision to keep KO away.
Rhodes tried to tap into Aldis’ emotions as a former wrestler to put himself into Rhodes’ shoes – asking what Aldis would do if he was in Rhodes’ situation.
Unfortunately for Cody, the GM’s answer remained the same – Owens will not be appearing until further notice.
By the end, Cody said that while the ball may be in the SmackDown GM’s court now, Rhodes won’t be waiting long.
UPDATE: In a video on social media, Kevin Owens announced he’ll be at WWE SmackDown next week, per the request of Nick Aldis.
