A top WWE star has made their position on rumors of a WWE sale clear in a recent interview and revealed their focus in the company.
In an interview with Nick Talbot of the San Antonio Express, Kevin Owens addressed the stories, saying:
“The internet will say what the internet will say, and then the reality will be what really matters.
“We just care about what we do in the ring. That’s what we try to do our best at.”
The comments echo the words of WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther who previously stated:
“I mean, rumors are rumors. And at the end of the day, I’m not the CEO. I’m a wrestler.
“So, I focus on what I do in the ring and leave the business to those who do business.”
In the San Antonio Express interview, Owens also opened up about his relationship with the former WWE Co-CEO Stephanie McMahon.
He would describe Stephanie McMahon as “nothing but amazing to me my entire time here”
Owens recently shared an emotional tribute to the late Jay Briscoe following his death at the age of 38 in a car accident on January 17 2023.
