After not being seen since June 2024, the backstage perception of an injured main roster WWE star has been revealed.
Kiana James was last seen on the June 17 episode of WWE Raw, competing in a Money in the Bank Qualifying Triple Threat match along with Zelina Vega and the match winner IYO SKY.
Her absence from television would later be revealed as injury-related, with James providing an update on her recovery in April.
With James back in the gym as part of her return process, a new render of a promotional image for the absent WWE star was recently released.
While it isn’t clear as to when James will be making an in-ring return, details of the backstage perception of the star has emerged.
Cory Hays of PW Nexus has revealed that Kiana James is “extremely liked currently”, according to his sources.
This came in reply to a question as to whether reports of James receiving a “massive push” upon her WWE return were true.
Back in January, ahead of her own return, Charlotte Flair was spotted training with Kiana James and the former Peyton Royce of the IIconics.
Kiana James is a former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion and was called up to the main roster in the 2024 WWE Draft.
It has previously been reported that James was expected to be out of action for ‘upwards of six months‘.
At the time of writing, eleven months have passed since Kiana James was last on television.
