Former WWE Star Killer Kross Cast In Upcoming Hollywood Movie

A former WWE star has been cast in an upcoming movie inspired by a real-life Hollywood stuntman, with shooting currently underway.

Known to fans as Karrion Kross, the former WWE star parted ways with the company earlier this year and previously commented on the controversy surrounding his exit.

Having returned to the independent wrestling scene as Killer Kross, the real-life Kevin Kesar is also heading to the big screen in a new project.

Announced by Deadline, it was confirmed that Kesar would star in Godshot, a movie inspired by the life of the Hollywood stuntman Sammy Horowitz.

Horowitz has co-written the script with Adam Pasen, with the movie following a “recently released ex-con who finds an unexpected shot at redemption after being introduced to the high-risk world of Hollywood stunt work, only to realize the most dangerous stunt of all will be breaking free from his past.”

In addition to Horowitz, the cast also includes Ron Perlman (Hellboy), William Forsythe (Blue Streak), Kris D. Lofton (Power Book IV: Force), Joe Miñoso (Chicago Fire), Jon Seda (Chicago P.D.), Marila Lombrozo (Cobra Kai), Sari Sanchez (NCIS: Origins) and the aforementioned Kesar.

Discussing the project, which is currently in its shooting phase, Horowitz stated that it is not only based on his life, but dedicated to his fellow stunt artists, telling Deadline:

“Besides being based on much of my life, this movie is dedicated to the stunt community, Chicago, and all the people I’ve met along the way who helped bring this to fruition.

“This is my Rocky story — the very fact we were able to make it is proof that Godshots exist.”

The character-driven action movie is currently shooting in Chicago, with a release date yet to be revealed.
