WWE announced during Raw tonight that next week’s show would see the return of the King of the Ring tournament after a four-year hiatus.
Since then, it has been confirmed that it will be a 16-man tournament with eight men from Raw and eight from SmackDown.
The field of participants was revealed via vignettes throughout the show:

- Sami Zayn (Raw)
- Baron Corbin (Raw)
- Cesaro (Raw)
- Ricochet (Raw)
- The Miz (Raw)
- Samoa Joe (Raw)
- Ali (SD)
- Kevin Owens (SD)
- Chad Gable (SD)
- Andrade (SD)
- Shelton Benjamin (SD)
- Apollo Crews (SD)
- Buddy Murphy (SD)
- Elias (SD)
