The Raw semi-finalists for the WWE King of the Ring tournament were decided in tonight’s quarter-final matches.
First to advance was Baron Corbin who beat Cedric Alexander in an excellent match.
The second match was where things got tasty. Both Samoa Joe and Ricochet had their arms over each other with both their shoulders down when the ref counted three.
The official ruling was that neither man had been eliminated and therefore next week’s semi-final will be a three-way with Corbin vs. Joe vs. Ricochet.
Tomorrow’s WWE SmackDown Live show – which as always we will have live coverage for here at WrestleTalk.com – will see the blue brand’s quarter-final matches in Andrade vs. Chad Gable and Ali vs. Elias.
The Raw and SmackDown semi-finals will take place at next week’s respective Madison Square Garden shows.
The final will be held at the Clash of Champions pay-per-view from Charlotte, NC on September 15.
