Announcer Change For SmackDown Before WWE King & Queen Of The Ring WWE

There’s an announcer change to report from today’s episode of SmackDown before the WWE King & Queen of the Ring PLE.

SmackDown is also taking place live in Saudi Arabia today, the first time that’s happened during the Saudi-WWE relationship.

On ring announcing duties for SmackDown is Mike Rome, who was recently moved off his permanent role on the blue brand to NXT.

While not confirmed, this presumably means Rome will have the role for the PLE itself tomorrow as well, as neither Samantha Irvin nor Alicia Taylor seem to have traveled.

Last time WWE was in Saudi Arabia, for Crown Jewel in November, it was actually Byron Saxton in the ring announcer role.

The SmackDown commentary team today is the regular team of Corey Graves and Wade Barrett, and we do know Michael Cole is there as well.

SmackDown hosts the brand’s semi-finals to determine who’ll face GUNTHER and Lyra Valkyria in the WWE King & Queen of the Ring tournament finals tomorrow.

We will of course keep you posted with all the updates throughout both shows today and tomorrow.
