UPDATE: A potential reason for the change has been revealed, which you can read about at this link.
WWE was set told hold it’s first-ever ‘King and Queen of the Ring’ premium live event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Saturday, May 27.
The event would have featured the finals of this year’s King of the Ring and Queen’ of the Ring tournaments.
However, it appears as though that may no longer be the case, as WWE has now announced that the event will instead be named ‘Night of Champions’.
The status of the tournaments themselves is unknown, and the finals could still be set to take place at the event or later in the year, but it seems as though plans for upcoming tournaments have been scrapped.
