WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has named the current roster member that he sees being the next breakthrough star.
When it comes to a star to occupy the top of the WWE card, Kurt Angle named a current champion as the person he sees in the “main event 24/7”.
Speaking to casino.org, Angle named the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, GUNTHER, as that star, saying:
“I’ve got my sights on GUNTHER; I love that kid.
“He has a lot of talent, and I think he’s going to be the next breakthrough star, where he’s main event 24/7.
“He’s a solid technician, a great heel and I think he’s going to be the one we’re going to see a lot more of in the years to come in this business.”
GUNTHER heads to WrestleMania 41 to face Jey Uso and recently sharing his thoughts on not main eventing either night of the WWE PLE on April 19 & 20.
The World Heavyweight Champion has also recently revealed that he has signed a new WWE contract with special benefits.
GUNTHER signed with WWE in November 2018 and debuted in NXT UK the following January getting his main roster call-up in April 2022.
