WWE Legend the Boogeyman has pushed for a return to TV, under the Triple H regime.
In December 2021, the Boogeyman, real name Martin Wright, signed a new legends deal with WWE.
Wright has taken to Twitter with a photo of himself with Boogeyman face paint, wearing a WWE Network cap.
Wright captioned the post:
“Bring Boogeyman Back To TV”
WWE is reportedly looking to utilise more names who currently have legends contracts, so we could see Wright return to our screens soon.
Wright made his WWE main roster debut in 2005 and wrestled regularly for the company until 2009. He has made sporadic appearances for WWE in the years since then, most recently wrestling for WWE in the 2015 Royal Rumble match.
He last appeared on WWE TV during the January 4, 2021 ‘Legend’s Night’ special episode of Monday Night Raw, scaring Angel in a 24/7 Title segment.
There has been a shift in leadership since the Boogeyman’s last TV appearance for the company, with Vince McMahon is no longer in charge of WWE. Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan are now the company co-CEOs, and Triple H running creative as the Chief Content Officer.
