An update has emerged on the status of Jesse Ventura following his absence from the recent WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Ventura has been on the commentary team for Saturday Night’s Main Event, though was absent from the November 1 edition.
With John Cena’s final match being the focus of the December 13 Peacock special, an update has emerged on Jesse Ventura.

Addressing the absence of Ventura, Dave Meltzer explained that WWE Hall of Famer’s current status, writing:
We were under the impression he had signed a one-year deal for these shows, and that deal would have run out with the last show.
I don’t know that factually and in checking, the only thing we got was that it was not a major topic of discussion, but after the cage match fiasco performance in the McIntyre vs. Damian Priest match, we were told the die was cast as far as using him going forward.
He was downplayed on the next show while still under contract and not on this show, nor ever referenced.
The “fiasco performance” in question took place back in May, with it subsequently being reported that Ventura’s rant at the end of the Steel Cage match had elicited laughter behind-the-scenes.
Ventura was a inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2004.
