A legendary WWE manager has endorsed one particular name for the role of permanent NXT GM following Ava’s departure.

It was confirmed last week that Ava would be departing WWE as her contract expired, leaving a vacancy in the NXT General Manager role.

On NXT this past Tuesday, Shawn Michaels announced that Robert Stone would be the Interim GM.

Now, a former General Manager in his own right has suggested that Stone should be given the role full time.

In a video shared by Stone, former ECW GM Armando Estrada said:

“Amigos, take it from somebody who knows, Robert Stone should be the permanent General Manager of NXT.”

Estrada was the ECW General Manager from the summer of 2007 to the summer of 2008, which followed a year of being the manager of Umaga.

In 2024, Estrada signed a WWE Legends Contract and was featured as a manager in the WWE 2K25 video game.

Stone also shared a video of endorsement from Kurt Angle earlier today.
