WWE legend Leilani Kai has explained how she was unexpectedly offered a new legends contract with the company.
Kai has recently re-entered the picture in WWE, making some appearances at Saturday Night’s Main Event and attending some NXT live events as a guest.
She notably entered the first ever WrestleMania as WWF Women’s Champion, dropping the title to Wendi Richter at that event.
She’s also a two-time Women’s Tag Team Champion alongside Judy Martin as the Glamour Girls.
In a new interview with 1Wrestling, Kai has discussed how her recent return to WWE came to be, saying:
“I had, finally, my surgery on my hip – I’m still not over it yet – but I was in the hospital, and after my surgery a couple of days later, they called me and asked if they could take care of my hospital bill or if there’s anything they can do.
“I told them no, I was taken care of, I was fine, and then they told me they wanted me to join their family.
“I was surprised, I never expected it to happen. It was one of Triple H’s assistants, his name is Ben Brown.”
