Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs (AKA WWE legend Kane) has voted against a mandate for people to wear masks. Other people have of course pointed out the irony that the famous masked wrestler is now voting against people wearing masks for health.
Zack Rickens posted the news on Twitter earlier today.
BREAKING: Knox County Board of Health votes 7-1 to mandate a mask ordinance for anyone inside certain buildings.
Mayor Jacobs is the only nay.
Board will re-evaluate the order at its next meeting.

COVID-19 cases have been surging in areas of America lately. The worst being Florida, Texas, and Arizona. Many places have started passing mandates for people to wear masks as part of an effort to stop these spiking numbers.
Regardless of Jacobs’ vote against, the mandate was voted for and we will wait to see how they proceed.
Kane last performed in WWE in September of 2019. He made his appearance as Glenn Jacobs and became the 24/7 Champion by pinning R-Truth during a tour of Neyland Stadium. He dropped the title back to Truth later in the day. During the closing moments of the show, he appeared once again to save Seth Rollins from attacking heels only to be attacked by The Fiend.
