A WWE legend has sent a message to their son following their free agency and rumours of them signing with WWE.
NJPW The New Beginning in Osaka took place on February 11 and saw Callum Newman taking on David Finlay.
Following the match, Finlay bowed to the crowd after Newman’s victory, with him embracing Gedo following the match, seemingly confirming his rumoured departure from the promotion.
Finlay has reported interest from both WWE and AEW, and ahead of his upcoming free agency, Finlay’s father, WWE legend Fit Finlay, has sent a message to his son.
Taking to Twitter, he said:
.@THEdavidfinlay whats next? I’m proud of the journey you have been on. I’m excited for the next chapter. Your eminence in Wrestling is undeniable!
4th Generation, ya can’t slow that juggernaut
Finlay is set to take part in at least one more match with NJPW, as he was announced for a match with Fred Rosser at the upcoming NJPW New Beginning USA show on February 27.
Finlay’s brother, NXT star Uriah Connors, recently joined forces with Lexis King and the new ‘Birthright’ faction on NXT television, leading to speculation that Finlay could also join the group.
