WWE Hall Of Famer Discusses Possibility Of One Final Match AEW

He’s only been in three matches since 2015, but that hasn’t stopped one WWE Hall of Famer from contemplating “one final match”.

Speaking on the Battleground podcast, WWE legend DDP  isn’t against the idea of hitting his famous Diamond Cutter in a match, saying:

“I really want to do them when I’m 70, you know, just to be able to prove what I can still do.”

He had done that very thing most recently at the Ric Flair’s Last Match pay-per-view, hitting the move on Matt Cardona.

Beyond that, he’s appeared in two WWE matches (the Royal Rumble in 2015 and the WrestleMania 32 Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal) and one for AEW at AEW Dynamite on January 15, 2020.

At that episode of Dynamite, a Bash At The Beach-influenced show, DDP teamed with Dustin Rhodes and QT Marshall to take on The Butcher, The Blade and MJF.

Speaking about the match, DDP praised the moment when the crowd “lose their minds” for the final moments.

Following the match, and no doubt still on the adrenaline high, DDP spoke to Cody Rhodes who asked him about another match, to which DDP replied:

“Give me a better finish than that and we’ll talk about it.”
