WWE Legend Praises Chelsea Green & Blake Monroe

A WWE legend has praise for current stars Chelsea Green and Blake Monroe, naming Green their wrestler of the year for 2025.

The legendary Leilani Kai has returned to the fold in WWE as of late, attending shows like Saturday Night’s Main Event and NXT live events.

Speaking with 1Wrestling, Kai spoke highly of the entire women’s roster, with some specific praise for NXT Women’s North American Champion Blake Monroe and AAA Mixed Tag Team Champion Chelsea Green.

On Monroe, Kai said:

“Right now, I’m so interested in NXT. I want to be a coach there so bad.

“I try to go to all the events I can go to, just to be able to watch them. That’s really the only thing I care about, is NXT really.

“Yes, she is (incredible). I gave her some little pearls. It’s just my little Glamour Girl thing I had, I had a few pieces of jewelry I wanted her to have.

“I’m just so proud of her. I watch everything she does.”

Then, when asked to name her wrestler of the year, Kai said Chelsea Green, adding:

“There’s just… something about her. Her charisma. Her attitude is like mine, her personality is like mine. She’s real friendly and sweet.

“All the girls are, they just don’t know me. But I made myself know her. But I love them all. I love you all!”

Green won the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship alongside WWE NXT North American Champion Ethan Page yesterday, defeating Mr Iguana and La Hiedra in Monterrey, Mexico at AAA’s Day of the Dead event.

Monroe has been NXT Women’s North American Champion since WWE Halloween Havoc just over a week ago, defeating Zaria who was defending on behalf of injured champion Sol Ruca.
