WWE has reportedly signed three independent talents to NXT/Performance Center deals including the son of a WWE legend and backstage force.
Three recent recruits who participated in recent tryouts have been invited to report to the WWE Performance Center in January after finishing up their existing independent circuit bookings.
According to Bodyslam.net, names from the tryouts that have been confirmed as being offered deals with WWE are Brogan Finlay, Lucky Ali and Jay Malachi.
In the video clip below, you can see Finlay saying goodbye to the ACTION Wrestling promotion.
Bodyslam clarifies in its report that these three names aren’t necessarily the ONLY three names signed from the tryout and there may be more to be confirmed.
Brogan Finlay is the real life son of Fit Finlay, known for his on-screen work in WWE but also described as an ‘unsung hero’ backstage.
Finlay remains signed to WWE as a trainer/assistant coach where he has been credited in having a large part in the transition of the presentation of women in WWE.
Both Jay Malachi and Lucky Ali have worked matches for AEW in the past.
The aforementioned tryouts were specific to indie wrestlers, despite WWE also regularly running tryouts for college athletes.
