A former WWE champion has seemingly teased a return to the company to gain revenge on a current star.
On the special ECW themed edition of WWE NXT on Wednesday, November 6, Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam was one of many returning faces to the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.
While some ECW alumni such as Bubba Ray Dudley and Nunzio would actively compete inside the NXT ring, others such as Dawn Marie and Rob Van Dam would be involved in a non-physical manner.
But that’s not to say RVD wouldn’t take some punishment on the night, as he was attacked with a chair by former NXT North American Champion Wes Lee prior to his match with Je’Von Evans, a match that RVD was set to be at ring side for.
Despite Lee’s best efforts RVD would shake off the attack and lend an assist to Evans who picked up the win.
Over a week after his NXT appearance, RVD took to Twitter to tease that he and Lee’s issues are not yet done.
In reply to a clip of Lee’s chair shot attack, RVD wrote:
I’ll get him back.
This isn’t the first time RVD has hinted at getting physical inside a WWE ring again since his appearance on NXT, but it remains to be seen whether this is in the company’s plans.

I’ll get him back. https://t.co/ndJKZf5TRp
