Legitimate Heat & Confrontation Between Jade Cargill & Another WWE Star

Details have emerged on legitimate heat between two WWE stars, with a confrontation taking place several months back.

Per Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Jade Cargill and Shayna Baszler were involved in a confrontation ‘a few months ago.’, prior to Cargill’s injury.

Meltzer noted that he was told by “a half dozen” people within WWE that it happened, with it being noted that Cargill had “rubbed enough people in the Raw women’s division the wrong way”, and that Baszler “wanted to fight” Cargill until management discovered the issue and calmed the situation down.

Meltzer wrote the following about this WWE backstage confrontation:

There was a confrontation that took place a few months ago before the Cargill injury involving Cargill and Baszler.

It’s been confirmed by a half dozen people that it happened but nobody went into details past Cargill had rubbed enough people in the Raw women’s division the wrong way and Baszler was wanting to fight her until management found out and calmed the situation down. The time frame was when they were doing Baszler & Stark vs. Belair & Cargill matches.

I don’t know what in particular happened other than it wasn’t just one thing and the belief is that some of this stemmed from inside the ring in those matches and some didn’t. Although one woman star said they believed the tension within the Smackdown side was worse than the Raw side.

Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark competed for Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair’s WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship twice in June 2024, first on the June 3 Raw episode, then again in the three-way match which saw Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn win the gold at Clash At The Castle 2024.
