Lexis King is taking another shot at the WWE NXT North American Championship, this time against Oba Femi on next week’s episode.
The match was taped on February 13 due to some members of the NXT roster and/or production heading to Australia for Elimination Chamber.
King has already commented on “conning” his way into championship opportunities in NXT, but now Mr Stone has reacted to the match announcement.
In a tweet on his own account, Stone responded by writing:
“I would get it if Lexis came up to me and talked trash… I haven’t always been the most likeable guy…
“But to talk trash about my 7 yr. old twins?
“The King don’t deserve this match because the King SUCKS.”
Stone would be referring to comments made by King backstage that aired on Tuesday night’s NXT in which the arrogant star said that Stone’s children must be desperate for a role model.
During the February 13 episode of WWE NXT, Lexis King also addressed Femi saying that he had “softened up” former NXT North American Champion Dragon Lee before Femi cashed in his NXT Breakout Tournament winner contract for a title match right after Lee’s match with King.
Promising that “The King” would take the championship from Femi, the pair would exchange words with the current champion stating that King wouldn’t be sitting on the throne.
Highlights from their exchange on last night’s NXT can be seen below this news story.
