There may be onscreen tensions within Judgment Day on WWE Raw, but Liv Morgan has high praise for Roxanne Perez.

Last week’s episode of WWE Raw saw Finn Balor attempt to convince Roxanne Perez that Judgment Day were no good for the star, only to be met with a less-than-receptive reaction from the star he brought into his former faction.

Fast forward to May 4, and Liv Morgan questioned Perez as to why Balor was in the Judgment Day clubhouse, with Perez reaffirming her loyalty to the faction and promising to no longer “keep secrets from the family”.

Morgan would praise Perez during a recent interview with Fox News, declaring that Judgment Day is setting her up for greatness, saying:

“I think Roxanne is so incredibly talented. She’s so young and is so aware in the ring. She really knows what she’s doing.

“For us, the Judgment Day, to take our little Roxy under our wing and set her up as the next great for the next generation.

“She’s definitely under my tutelage. I’m teaching her a lot. I’m teaching her everything that I know. I’m teaching her a lot. The future of WWE is more than safe in my little Roxy’s hands.”

With last week’s WWE Raw taking place in her home city of Laredo, Texas, Perez commented on her homecoming and the honor she received from officials.

The Starmaking Faction That Is The Judgment Day

While The Bloodline, established in 2021, may have been made up of select members of the legendary Anoa’i family, The Judgment Day, which was founded the following year, has had an equally high profile membership of its own.

Founded by Edge as its first leader, the initial iteration saw Damien Priest joined by Rhea Ripley later in 2022, and then Finn Balor being added, ejecting the WWE Hall of Famer at the same point in June of that year.

Arguably, it was the addition of Dominik Mysterio in September 2022, and his relationship with Ripley, that elevated Judgment Day to new heights, leading to the betrayal and alliance with Liv Morgan at SummerSlam in 2024, with Priest also parting ways at the same WWE Premium Live Event.

It’s Mysterio that has, to some extent, been an instrumental factor in Judgment Day storylines, going from his relationship with Ripley to his current one with Morgan. The positioning of the 29-year-old star has seen him become a two-time WWE Intercontinental Champion and NXT North American Champion, along with the current AAA Mega Champion, all while a member of the faction.

If Perez, a star only five years younger than Dominik, can have half the level of recognition that Mysterio has had thus far, it’ll be a success story of its own for a talent that has already held the Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Raquel Rodriguez. A former NXT Women’s Champion and NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion, she has shown that she has the ability to carry title responsibilities and all the drama that such a story entails and now. With the trust issues with Morgan, there’s an opportunity for even more tension and subterfuge to elevate the young star further.

What could be interesting would be if Perez were the nail in the coffin of Judgment Day, forcing a schism that has existed since long before Balor was ejected to be further exposed, allowing the faction’s members to spin off in new and, hopefully, interesting directions of their own.
