WWE Live Event Match Possibly Proves WWE Is Toning Down The Fiend

At a few WWE Live Events recently, The Fiend has been facing Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship.

Bray Wyatt has actually been surprisingly losing the matches by DQ, leading some to speculate that he might not be walking out of Hell In A Cell with Rollins’ championship.

A video of the whole Universal Championship match, including entrances, was uploaded to YouTube, perhaps giving is an insight into what we can expect from the pair’s pay-per-view clash next month.

After SummerSlam, many fans were talking about Bray Wyatt’s spectacular in-ring entrance, with the severed head lantern being a particular highlight amongst fans.

However, some were concerned after reports emerged suggesting WWE would be ‘toning down’ aspects of The Fiend’s character to make it more family-friendly, something Bray Wyatt has since denied.

However, at 7:21 in the video above, you can clearly see that Bray Wyatt has gone back to using his old lantern from his days as leader of The Wyatt Family, perhaps proving that WWE is indeed altering The Fiend’s character.

This is certainly not a good sign if true, as one of the best parts about The Fiend’s presentation is the fact that it stands out from the many PG characters on WWE’s roster.

However, it seems plausible that Wyatt is just using his old lantern on house shows as he doesn’t want to risk losing or breaking the more expensive version that he debuted at SummerSlam and will use for TV/pay-per-views.
