Former WWE star John Hennigan (John Morrison) has now called out Logan Paul, believing he could defeat the influencer in a boxing match.
During Paul’s run with the company, WWE has presented the internet star’s hands as dangerous weapons, pushing the ‘one lucky punch’ narrative ahead of his match with Roman Reigns in November.
Paul has had a varied level of success in boxing, notably fighting to a majority draw decision during his debut against YouTuber KSI in 2018, and losing the rematch a year later.
Paul’s most recent fight saw him survive an eight-round exhibition bout against Floyd Mayweather Jr in 2021.
John Hennigan believes he’d be able to do what the 50-0 boxer couldn’t, and knock out Logan Paul.
Speaking with Aiden James for Sportskeeda, Hennigan argued that he’d be able to stop Paul in three rounds, noting:
“I don’t think he has very good defense. He doesn’t really use his jab nearly enough.
“He’s wide open for check hooks and body shots. I’m pretty sure I’d knock him out in like the third round.”
Hennigan is currently preparing for his own boxing debut, with the former Intercontinental Champion set to face Harley Morenstein from the Epic Meal Time YouTube group at Creator Clash 2 on April 15.
Paul is currently focusing on his pro-wrestling career, with the influencer set to face off against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 39.
