Logan Paul To Win World Championship ‘Very Soon’ Says WWE Analyst WWE

A WWE analyst believes the logical approach for the company is to have Logan Paul to win the World Heavyweight Championship “very soon.”

Over the past few months, Logan Paul has started to appear regularly on WWE TV as a member of The Vision after signing a full-time contract, as opposed to the previous part-time role he’d had since his in-ring debut in 2022.

With Paul now wrestling more often and appearing weekly, WWE analyst Sam Roberts, on his Notsam Wrestling show, suggested it is “utter logic” that Paul should win the World Heavyweight Championship soon.

Roberts explained:

“Logan Paul, in my opinion, is at the phase where he should be starting to enter into the main event space in WWE.

“Logan Paul is not only a super famous dude, but he’s got a track record for being able to sell tickets and sell pay-per-view. He did it with Floyd Mayweather, he’s done it. Logan Paul attracts eyeballs and attracts attention. And he’s also super good and gifted and athletic in the ring.

“There’s not a lot of parts of this wrestling thing that Logan Paul doesn’t get. Especially since he’s on TV every week now, Logan Paul is not a novelty act anymore. You want him to be because we’re wrestling fans and we’re hardcores and we just want the wrestling to be for the wrestlers, but sorry, if you’re looking at this without your emotions, if you’re just using your brain, if you’re looking at what is actually in front of you, Logan Paul is a top guy. And should be a top guy.”

The Difference Between Logan Paul Vs. Roman Reigns In 2022 & 2026

Sam Roberts went on to talk about Logan Paul’s current role compared to when he faced Roman Reigns in 2022.

That match took place at WWE Crown Jewel in November of that year, and saw Reigns retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. It was only the third match of Paul’s career at that point.

Roberts said:

“Logan Paul should absolutely be a main event guy. Logan Paul vs Roman Reigns way back then (in 2022), it was an attraction match, because Logan Paul wrestled attraction matches. But Logan Paul should be taken seriously enough now that maybe he’s gonna beat CM Punk, maybe he’s gonna beat Seth Rollins, maybe he’s gonna beat Roman Reigns.

“I’m not speaking from a place of, ‘Do I like it, do I not like it, how do I feel about it?’ But the reality is that Logan Paul is a main eventer. He just is. He’s not in the celebrity bracket anymore. He’s in the celebrity bracket in the sense that he’s very famous, but he’s on Raw every single week. He’s part of major storylines.”

It’s ‘Utter Logic’ That Logan Paul Will Become WWE World Champion

Summarising his point about Logan Paul, stating that it’s not necessarily his personal opinion but is based on logic and fact, Sam Roberts concluded:

“If I’m WWE right now, the path is to put the World Title on Logan Paul. Sorry. The path is to put the World Championship on Logan Paul. Because it would make the world talk. And, because you know you’ll get good matches out of it. And it is so rare that you get both, but you’ve got both with Logan Paul.

“Whether you want to admit it or not. I’m not coming to you from a place of emotion. It’s utter logic and pragmatism.”

What’s Next For Logan Paul In WWE

Is Sam Roberts right that Logan Paul will become WWE World Heavyweight Champion “very soon?”

Well, in the immediate future, current World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk will be defending the title against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 42, which is currently just over a month away.

As for Paul, his path to WrestleMania may depend various injury situations that have already caused changes to WWE’s Mania plans.

The last known planned match and clear direction for WrestleMania was Seth Rollins vs Bron Breakker, and it seemed like Logan Paul would fit into a World Tag Team Championship match teaming with Austin Theory against The Usos.

However, the Rollins vs Breakker match is now reliant on Breakker recovering from his recent surgery – if he isn’t back in time, Logan Paul looks to be the planned substitute to be Rollins’ opponent instead, especially after Rollins caused Paul to be eliminated from the Elimination Chamber match.

Another opponent that remains an option for Rollins in the absence of Breakker is Brock Lesnar, whose opponent for WrestleMania has yet to be confirmed, and who may be looking to avenge his advocate Paul Heyman after Rollins attacked him on WWE Raw.

However, the latest known plans, and a lot of fan sentiment right now, call for Lesnar to face main roster newcomer Oba Femi at WrestleMania instead.

Coming out of WrestleMania, there are always shifts and changes to the landscape of the WWE roster and talents’ positions on the card as the company kicks off its ‘new season,’ so it’s entirely possible that Paul could be positioned as a World Championship contender in the coming months.

He does already have one World Heavyweight Championship match to his name – unsuccessfully challenging Jey Uso for the title at Saturday Night’s Main Event in May 2025.

Even when he was working less frequently, he still held the United States Championship for 273 days from November 2023 to August 2024, winning it from Rey Mysterio before dropping it to LA Knight.
