A WWE tag team has snapped their recent losing streak with four consecutive wins in one night to earn a championship match.
One of the over-arching stories being told in recent weeks was the trials and tribulations of Hank Walker and Tank Ledger.
Hank and Tank had been struggling to find their way, suffering losses on the March 18, March 25, April 1 and April 8 episodes of WWE NXT.
Along the way, they were getting advice from some main roster tag teams like the Motor City Machine Guns and Pretty Deadly, but still couldn’t find the right formula.
Then, last week, it was the Street Profits who offered up some advice, simply telling Hank and Tank to stop modelling themselves off of others, and just be themselves.
As it turns out, that advice is what they needed, as there was a five-team #1 contenders’ gauntlet match on tonight’s NXT, with Hank and Tank along with the four teams they’d lost against in the aforementioned losing streak.
Hank and Tank started the gauntlet and made it all the way to the end, scoring the win against Josh Briggs & Yoshiki Inamura in the final round.
They’ll now challenge Fraxiom for the NXT Tag Team Championship at Stand & Deliver on Saturday, April 19.
