WWE Star Claims Tag Team Split Was ‘Sorely Needed’ WWE

Imperium lost one of its members in April 2024 and Ludwig Kaiser has opened up about the need for the split to happen.

Kaiser attacked his then-Imperium teammate Giovanni Vinci on the April 22 episode of WWE Raw.

This brought to an end a partnership that had begun in May 2019 that started in NXT UK.

Speaking about Vinci’s end in Imperium during an interview with Sporx, Kaiser reflected on whether it was necessary, saying:

“Yes, it was even sorely needed. He had more of the team than I did. It was kept below, because you want to see more of me in the next few years. I have to concentrate on myself, that’s the way it is in wrestling. There is always a compromise in a team. You can never do what you want.

“I was always convinced that I would do everything to become a big name in WWE. Even in view of my father’s legacy, it was important for me to do my thing alone. You also saw it immediately. Within a few weeks, my stock has risen extremely.”

Kaiser is a second-generation wrestler being the son of Axel Dieter, the legendary German wrestler who passed away in September 2015.

In the interview, Kaiser would also discuss the possibility of an appearance at WWE Bash in Berlin on August 31, 2024.

According to Kaiser, he is ‘on the right track’ for the upcoming WWE PLE which will feature Gunther defending the World Heavyweight Championship against Randy Orton.

Kaiser recently returned to our screens after suffering broken ribs during a match with Bron Breakker, which also included a brawl with Sheamus, on the June 24 episode of WWE Raw
