A member of the WWE on-screen management team has issued a statement regarding the announcement of a new General Manager.
On last night’s episode of WWE Evolve, it was confirmed that Timothy Thatcher is the new Evolve General Manager.
Interim NXT GM Robert Stone, who made the announcement, has now issued a statement on social media regarding the appointment of Thatcher.
He wrote:
Even though he refused the pound of Stone saying a handshake is the more old school way…it was a pleasure officially naming Timothy Thatcher the new Foremen (GM) of Evolve.
Timothy is a different breed. A guy who won’t wear knee pads because, in his words, that means you’ve got weak knees. A guy who doesn’t do social media… doesn’t even own a phone or a TV.
Which, honestly, makes him the perfect man for the job.
Huge thanks to HBK for trusting me with the opportunity to make a decision like this.
This place is special. Evolve has already produced legitimate NXT superstars and helped shape the future of this industry. It needed real authority and Thatcher is beyond the right man for it.
I knew he was special ever since the first time I met him at Southside Wrestling in England back in 2015.
The next chapter of Evolve starts now.
