In 2019, Otis and Mandy Rose were in a popular and touching storyline that would later also feature Dolph Ziggler.

From the awkward beginnings to WrestleMania 26 in April 2020, the WWE Playlist video of their story can be seen below this news story.

Their story would continue beyond the WWE Playlist, however, with Rose going on to feud with Sonya Deville while Otis feuded with Ziggler.

Otis has now spoken about the origin of the story on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, saying:

“She was definitely the ignition for sure.

“I was just kidding around, I would see a bikini post on her IG and I would be like ‘you look good, babe.’ And then it became this thing and last year on Google, it said is Otis married (to Mandy Rose)? It was just one post.

“And I’m sitting there going, ‘Oh I can get some more leverage here.’ So I kept posting it just for laughs. And she’s awesome.

“So yeah, but she talked to Vince and then we started rocking and rolling there. So I mean, she definitely was like, ‘Hey, we gotta do this.'”

Rose has previously spoken about her relationship with Otis, revealing that he is “exactly who he is on TV.”

She would be released by WWE in December 2022 and recently stated she has “unfinished business” in the wrestling ring.
