Former NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose has addressed recently calling out WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton.
The former WWE star recently called out Stratton for using the phrase ‘put some respect on my name’ during a promo on the January 10 edition of SmackDown.
Arguing that this was her catchphrase, Rose noted on her podcast at the time that “this b***h even used the same kind of tone”, before telling Stratton “congratulations to Tiffy, but don’t use my words, honey.”
Stratton responded by wishing Rose the best, saying it was sad that she felt she had to get on her podcast and say something like that.
Mandy Rose has now addressed her previous comments, after they caused backlash with WWE fans.
Noting that she respects Stratton and believes she’s and incredible talent, Rose noted the following on her Power Alphas podcast:
“Let’s make something clear, I never bashed Tiffany Stratton. I actually put her over in another previous episode weeks before, about how I think she’s an amazing talent.
“I think she’s definitely going places. And look at her, she’s the champion within, you know, she’s only been up on the main roster probably less than two years. Like, I’ve always commended and highly complimented her.
“People (on social media) were just going nuts, like, ‘Oh my God, you’re just jealous!’ You’re this, you’re that. She’s done more.’ I’m like, ‘Guys, calm down.’
“Kudos to Tiffany Stratton, okay, because I think she’s an incredible talent and there’s no hate, trust me.”
