A WWE Legend has reacted to a former AEW star reportedly signing a contract with the Stamford-based company.
After much speculation and rumor, it was recently confirmed that Powerhouse Hobbs had signed a WWE contract, with his AEW deal having expired recently.
While Powerhouse Hobbs is yet to be officially referenced by WWE, a Hall of Famer has reached out with his congratulations.
Reacting to the news that the former AEW World Trios Champion was now under WWE contract, Mark Henry tweeted:
“Congratulations 🎉”
Hobbs is yet to address his status in WWE, with his Twitter bio still referencing AEW at the time of writing.
Details of the contract the Hobbs has signed are yet to be revealed, with a WWE debut date also no doubt to follow.
It was, however, previously reported that Hobbs was likely be heading straight to the main roster upon his debut, instead of following a path through NXT.
Hobbs’ AEW contract expired at midnight on January 14, with his final match being aired on the tape-delayed episode of Collision the following Saturday.
