Former WWE Star Returning As Part Of ‘Two-For-One’ Deal? WWE

A former WWE star may be set to return to the company as part of a ‘two-for-one’ deal.

Former WWE star Matt Cardona (Zack Ryder) spent nearly 15 years in WWE before his release in April 2020.

Since Cardona’s release, he has completely reinvented himself on the independent circuit, including his runs in GCW and the NWA.

With rumours circulating that WWE and Triple H want to bring Chelsea Green, the wife of Cardona, back to the company, many had wondered if Cardona would follow her back through the door.

Speaking with Louis Dangoor of GiveMeSport, WrestleVotes noted that Triple H is a fan of the former Zack Ryder.

They said that Triple H would ‘100%’ take Cardona back, but doesn’t know if the offer has been made yet.

They said:

“I’ve heard because he’s done on the indies that Hunter is a fan of his.

“Cardona is not shy about being a lifelong fan and Hunter likes people that don’t shy away from growing up in this business.

“Hunter would 100% take Matt Cardona back, but I don’t know if that offer has been extended.”

On the interest in Cardona’s wife, WrestleVotes speculated that Cardona could return with her as part of a ‘two-for-one’ deal.

They added:

“If he comes in with Chelsea Green, I don’t know. I know he really wants Chelsea back.

“Specifically, I know Shawn Michaels loves Chelsea Green, so if they want her you would think they kind of make a two-for-one offer, like we’ll take both you guys if you want.”

Chelsea Green recently noted that she was ‘going home’ on last week’s IMPACT.

Many took this to mean that she would be returning to WWE amid rumours of interest from the company.

Cardona has previously stated that he would only return to WWE under his current real name, rather than as Zack Ryder.
